Did you know, Microsoft Office Lens trims, enhances and makes pictures of whiteboards and docs readable. You can use Office Lens to convert images to PDF, Word and PowerPoint files, and you can even save images to OneNote or OneDrive. Office Lens is like having a scanner in your pocket. Like magic, it will digitize notes from whiteboards. Always have important documents or business cards to hand. Sketch your ideas and snap a picture for later. Don’t lose receipts or stray sticky notes again!
- Capture and crop a picture of a whiteboard, and share your meeting notes with colleagues.
- Make digital copies of your printed documents, business cards, receipts or posters, and trim them precisely.
Printed text will be automatically recognized (using OCR, Optical Character Recognition) by converting Word and PDF, so you can search for words in images and copy and edit them. Using the ‘Immersive Reader’ you can listen to an audio recording of your file.
You see a document that you want to use and make minor changes to it, but it’s pinned to a wall. This is where you use Office Lens to take a photo,
Upload it to OneDrive
Then select, Edit in Word
You’ll now see the text has become selectable, and editable.
